Alan Musick Jackson was born on October 17, 1958, in Newnan, Georgia, United States, to Ruth Musick Jackson and ‘Daddy Gene Jackson. He was the youngest of his parents’ five children, and he was the youngest of them all. The Jacksons were a middle-class family who resided in a modest home. Because his family was struggling financially, Jackson began doing odd jobs as a child, including at a shoe store, when he was just 12 years old. Meanwhile, he continued his schooling, attending ‘Local Street Elm Elementary’ and then ‘Newnan High School’, according to his records. Jackson’s first exposure to music was through gospel music when he was a child.

In a popular music countdown, the song “If I Could Make A Living,” which he co-wrote, took the top slot, earning him a Grammy nomination. In 1995, a collection of Jackson’s best-known songs, dubbed ‘The Greatest Hit Collection,’ was released on the market. The next year, Jackson released his sixth studio album, titled ‘Everything I Love,’ which became a worldwide hit. Jackson paid tribute to renowned vocalists such as Tom T. Hall and Charly Mcclain in this performance, which included his renditions of the songs ‘Little Bitty’ and ‘Who’s Cheating Who.’ Jackson also performed the song ‘Who’s Cheating Who.’

His following album, ‘Under the Influence,’ was released in 1999 and was his third studio album overall. The album was released during a period in which country music was heavily impacted by rock music, but Alan opted for a more classic country sound on the record. It was released in 2002, and it was titled ‘Let It Be Christmas,’ with a concept based on the well-known celebration. After that, he teamed with well-known vocalist Jeannie Kemdell on the song ‘Timeless and True Love,’ which was released the next year.

Not long ago, he even contributed to a movie soundtrack called ‘A Million Ways To Die In The West,’ for which he composed the opening credits tune.
