Ruby Soho is an American professional wrestler who is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where she competes under the ring name Ruby Soho. She was born in New York City and raised in New Jersey. She is also well-known for her time as a wrestler in the WWE when she went by the ring name Ruby Riott. Prange was born in New York City and raised in Ohio. Prange began training with Billy Roc at his School of Roc in 2010 and has been with him ever since. C.J. Lane was defeated by Lovelace in her professional wrestling debut for Juggalo Championship Wrestling, which took place at the Arena Chicks at the Gathering! event.

Lovelace made her Shimmer Women Athletes debut by fighting in Volume 51, where she teamed up with December in a losing effort against Pink Flash Kira and Sweet Cherrie in a tag-team match. Lovelace has since made her return to the company by competing in Volume 52. On May 16, 2012, Prange competed in an Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) tryout against Taeler Hendrix, but she was unsuccessful in her attempt to make the team. Prange made her professional wrestling debut on the May 23 episode of OVW episode 666, where she was defeated by C.J Lane.

She wrestled under the ring name Heidi Lovelace. OVW’s Saturday Night Special featured Lovelace defeating Taeler Hendrix in a no-disqualification match, earning her the right to face Hendrix in the company’s championship event in the future. On September 15, during a live event in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Lovelace defeated Hendrix to win the OVW Women’s Championship for the first time. Following her victory in the Women’s Championship, Lovelace went on to defeat Jessie Belle Smoothers, Epiphany, Josette Bynum, and Scarlett Bordeaux in the following matches.

Taeler Hendrix, a special guest referee, cost Lovelace the Women’s Championship match on the November 14 episode of OVW episode 691. Taryn Terrell was awarded the title when Lovelace was forced to forfeit. In the month of January 2013, Hendrix began receiving gifts from an unknown admirer, whom she mistook for either Dylan Bostic or Ryan Howe. The denouement to that narrative was revealed on the April 27 edition of OVW, when Heidi revealed that she was the one who had sent the gifts to Hendrix and his family.

On the May 4 edition of OVW, Lovelace attempted to explain her love to Hendrix but ended up alone with Hendrix perplexed by her actions. Following Hendrix’s insinuation that Trina harbored animosity toward the two of them, Lovelace confronted Trina and challenged her to a Women’s Championship bout on the Saturday Night Special, which Trina readily accepted. Trina successfully turned Lovelace’s attempted hurricanrana into a powerbomb the next day at OVW’s Saturday Night Special to retain her championship.

As Heidi Lovelace, Prange competed against fellow OVW wrestlers Sojourner Bolt and Taeler Hendrix at Shine Wrestling’s Shine 2 event. Bolt won the three-way bout, which took place at the Shine 2 event. During a singles match at Shine 5, Lovelace was defeated by Sassy Stephie on November 16, according to the results. Lovelace was defeated by Brittney Savage on February 22, 2013, at Shine 7 in New York City. On May 24, Lovelace formed a tag team with Luscious Latasha and Solo Darling to compete against Sojourner Bolt, Sassy Stephie, and Jessie Belle in a six-woman tag team bout, which her team lost to the other three ladies.

As part of the Shine 15 tournament, Lovelace’s losing run continued when she was defeated by Mercedes Martinez in a singles event. Shine 16 took place on January 24, 2014, and her losing streak came to an end after she was confirmed as the newest member of the “All-Star Squad” (ASS) faction run by Daffney, after forming a tag team with fellow ASS member Solo Darling called “The Buddy System,” and after defeating S-N-S Express in a single match (Sassy Stephie and Jessie Belle Smothers). The 2013 Tag World Grand Prix, in which Lovelace and Saturyne competed, marked Lovelace’s professional debut for Chikara on May 18, 2013.

Arik Cannon and Darin Corbin, on the other hand, knocked them out in the first round of their tournament. A competition final was held on December 6, 2014, as part of the pre-show of the Tomorrow Never Dies iPPV, in which Lovelace defeated Missile Assault Ant and went on to win the Chikara Young Lions Cup.  She successfully defended her Young Lions Cup on many occasions in 2015, going undefeated throughout the year. Heidi also competed in the “Challenge of the Immortals” tournament in 2015, which was a season-long double-round-robin event that took place throughout the year. In spite of this, Dasher and Heidi were able to participate in the season-ending “Tourneo Cibernetico” 16-man match as a team.

At the Wrestling Perspective Podcast on June 18, 2021, Prange mentioned how she would like to keep her character’s name as Ruby and would not be going back to her previous ring name of Heidi Lovelace, as the latter was not her idea in the first place and had never been her preference. She stated that she originally chose the name Ruby because of the Rancid song “Ruby Soho,” but that WWE owns the rights to the Ruby Riott ring name, and as a result, she was unable to use it.

Rancid frontman Lars Fredriksen, who is also one of the podcast’s hosts, then offered that she should go by the ring name Ruby Soho and promised her that he could also get the song cleared legally for her to use as her entrance theme if she wanted to. It was confirmed via a post on Prange’s Instagram account, which was shared with the public. Ruby Soho made her All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debut on September 5 as the surprise Joker entrant in the women’s Casino Battle Royale match at the promotion’s All Out pay-per-view in Chicago and won the match after eliminating Thunder Rosa, earning herself a future match for the AEW Women’s World Championship, which was previously held by Britt Baker.

Following interference from Baker’s allies Jamie Hayter and Rebel, Soho was defeated by Baker in a title match at Grand Slam on September 22nd, in the main event of the show. On the October 23rd episode of Dynamite Soho, she competed in the AEW TBS championship competition, where she met and defeated Penelope Ford in the first round of the event. When Soho fought in the second round of the tournament against Kris Stadtlander on December 1’s episode of Dynamite, the result was a victory for Soho.
